Publix deals for packing lunches and Publix note

Some mornings you just don't FEEL like creating a masterpiece lunch for school. Or at least, that has been my experience... Sooooo, for those of you who know what I'm talking about.. Keep reading (the rest of you might be interested also)

At Publix there is a pretty good deal on the "new" lunchables. In case you are like me and had no idea what the "new" lunchables had in them, I'll tell ya! The one we got was Turkey and cheddar Sub Sandwich and it comes with a sub roll, turkey, sliced cheddar, a mayo packet, a container of applesauce, a pak of vanilla wafers, a water and a kool aid packet that they can add to the water to make Kool Aid.

Now, the cool part, you can get these at Publix through Sept 4 for 1.50 each! Not a bad price for something that is already made and has EVERYTHING for a school lunch box. Here's how...

This deal is in the yellow advantage flyer at Publix. The "new" lunchables are on sale for 3.00 each. In the yellow flyer, you will find a coupon good for 1.00 off 2 of them. In this past Sunday's newspaper, there were coupons for 1.00 off one of them... Here's what you do..

Buy 2 @ 6.00
Use 1 Publix coupon -1.00
Use 2 newspaper coupons -1.00
You will have paid 1.50 each out of pocket!!!

Not the CHEAPEST lunch in the world, but if you want convienience, definantly worth checking out.

I also wanted to let you know what I found out... If you use more coupons than you have items for at Publix, it will not take all of your coupons. I found out the hard way.. So if you have 2 coupons (one store and one manufacturer) for one single item, you will need to buy something else to be able to use both coupons. Easy way to avoid this is don't go in Publix and buy JUST the item you have 2 coupons for. I found out this lesson the hard way and it cost me 1.00. Oh well, small price to pay... I'll just pass the info on to you!

And by the way, any of you who have ordered the 2.00 Starbucks Ice Cream coupons from ebay and have not received them ye-, as of today and last night, the Publix in Simpsonville AND Mauldin are now out of it (or at least 2 flavors of it). So if you would like to "extend" the sale until you get your coupons, go get a raincheck for it. They do not expire, so you can have free ice cream until your coupons expire!
