Bloom Super Doubles! I finally made it!

Well, I never made it to Bloom last week to try my hand at Super Doubles, but I finally did make it in tonight. It is a very rare thing to get to go to the store without children in tow and I have found that I may as well stay at home if I plan to take them to Bloom with me when I'm on a couponing mission. Today, I asked my dear sweet hubby to stay with them while I went so that I could concentrate on what I was doing. First of all, I must say, that I like triples MUCH better. There just aren't that many good high value coupons in my opinion. BUT, I did go, and I did find some GREAT deals... I thought I'd share a few of my finds...

-For those of you having friends over for New Years...
Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice Cocktail is on sale for 2.99. There was a 1.00/1 coupon in the newspaper a few weeks back which brings it to 0.99 per bottle!!! Regular price is 4.29!!! They have bumped their head if they think I would pay 4.29, but 0.99 is a great deal so I bought 4.

-Glade Scented Oil Candle Refills and Tin Holders are on sale for 3.00. I have fallen in love with these things. They smell VERY strong and I like that. Only problem is that they don't last long, so I've been stocking up on Refills. The coolest thing, is that in almost every pack of refills, there are REALLY good coupons for the tins. I had 2 $1.50 coupons for the tins and then various other coupons including 2 coupons for Buy the Tin get the refill pack free. So, I used the 1.50 coupon on the tin making it free, then I got the refill packs free with the other coupon. I did this 2 times and then I had 2 other coupons that I also used, so I wound up with 2 tins and 3 refill packs all for $1!!

-Florida Natural (my FAVORITE orange juice) was 3.49 and I used a 1.00 coupon, making it 1.49.

-Ground Chuck is 1.99/lb so I bought 6 lbs of that.

-Here's one you the "All You" magazine subscribers- Vanity Fair plates and bowls were on sale for 2.50 each. One month, there was a coupon in "All You" for 1.00 off any VF plates or bowls. The next month, there was one for buy 1 plate or bowl, get one free.... I used them together and got 2 packs of bowls for .50!

-Pepperidge Farm Garlic Toast was on sale for 2.00. I used a 0.40 off coupon making it 1.20 each.

-Land O Lakes Parmesan Herb seasoning was 2.89 and I used a 1.00 coupon making it .89

-BLOOM CHOCOLATE MILK!!!! Ya'll KNOW I was excited about that 0.75 coupon on chocolate milk and I was even more excited to be able to use it at Bloom during doubles and getting it for 1.49. Not the BEST price I've paid, but still not bad. I LUUUUUUUUUVVVVV chocolate milk.  :)

-Morton Seasoned salt was 1.73 and I used a printable coupon for 1.00 making it free!

If you still have that $10 off a $40 purchase coupon for Bloom, your best bet would be to go in and get stuff you never have coupons for. For me, that was hamburger meat, milk, bread, ricotta cheese (for my baked ziti of course), and a few other things. Used in combination with all of your coupon stuff, should probably bring you up to $40 so that you can use your coupon. Or, of course, you could always just use it at Publix where you ALWAYS get a good deal!!!

My Total went like this...42 items purchased-Price before sales/coupons 160.22-price I paid 60.55 for a savings of  62% off the regular prices! Not bad for my first doubles trip. If it had not of been for the $10 coupon (thanks Kerri), I would not have paid NEAR that amount, but I did get a lot of non-coupon items also. (It also did not help that it's been over a month and a half since I've stepped foot in a grocery store for a regular shopping trip!!!) Super Doubles continue through tomorrow, so go check it out! And by the way, there is a sign posted at the one in Simpsonville that if the coupon says "do not double" they will NOT double it, however, they doubled all of mine, even the ones with a disclaimer. Go figure!!! Happy Shopping!
